Quality, not quantity
The Grateful Heart Farm is 111 Acres located in the Hardy area of Franklin County Virginia. It is a farm with Virginia Hardwood Forest of 48 acres, 17 Acres of crops, and the balance in pasture.
The soils map of Franklin County, Virginia shows the farm with highly erodible soils. Therefore we work tirelessly to keep ground cover, forest, or crops on the soils.
Where we have old gullies we are using best practices to slow the water, spread the water, and seep it into the ground water. We accomplish this with natural stones found on the farm or with hauled in rip rap.
